About Us

The Driving Standards Agency recommends that if you learn to drive you should take lessons from an Approved Driving Instructor. Den McCaffrey has been a fully qualified D.S.A registered instructor since 1987, and has been teaching in the Bedford, Ampthill and Flitwick area since that time, earning himself a reputation for excellent teaching and results.

Learning to drive can be a stressful experience and requires tuition from an experienced and considerate instructor. DJM-Driving prides itself on friendly and patient training, taking into account the differences in personality and temperament of each and every student regardless of age and ability.

DJM-Driving tailors the lessons to the individual (some people learn more quickly than others). In the early stages of learning (which is the most difficult) lesson length is decided by teacher and student dependant on certain factors ie some students grow tired sooner than others and therefore to have more than one hour in the beginning phase is not recommended. DJM-Driving also offers intensive courses, details of which can be discussed as they are not suitable for everyone.

As the student progresses through the Intermediate phase and then finally to Advance Learner level (preparing for test) then 1.5 to 2 and even then 3 hour lessons are beneficial, but ultimately the student and teacher can decide on lesson length.
